Gayhurst is currently at an exciting stage of development. The school has an excellent reputation for pupils’ academic development and pastoral care and recent years have seen a successful inspection, record pupil numbers and a high level of scholarship and 11 plus success. Furthermore, the school is also currently engaged in a major capital development project to build a 3 court sports hall and 200 seat auditorium to provide larger dedicated spaces for physical education and the performing arts.
The school continues to be ambitious and is committed to providing a breadth of opportunities for children’s academic and social development so that they can thrive in an environment that nurtures their potential. Additionally, the school is intent on extending transformational opportunities through Bursaries to increase accessibility for children who would not otherwise be able to afford or benefit from a Gayhurst education. All current developments, resources and Bursary support is funded through current fee revenue. However, as a result of a difficult economic climate and government policy to introduce VAT on school fees continued development becomes more challenging.
The timely appointment of the school’s first Development Manager in April 2024 presents the opportunity to launch a fundraising and donation campaign to support the school with future developments and a dedicated bursary programme.
We recognise that there are many members of our community who have current or previous affiliation with the school who are keen to play their part in supporting our ongoing development. By contributing, you will not only enhance the learning experiences of our current students but also open the doors for life-changing opportunities for children from a variety of backgrounds. Your support will help us build new facilities, enrich our curriculum and extend bursary support to all of our students and secure a strong and vibrant future for Gayhurst.
Together, we can ensure that Gayhurst remains a place where every child has an excellent start to their educational journey. If you are keen to play a part in shaping our future then please contact our Development Manager, Amy Cronin on community@gayhurstschool.co.uk.
