What is the Future Spark Fund?
The Future Spark Fund is an exciting opportunity for our community to come together and offer the life changing gift of a Gayhurst education to a child who would never otherwise have access to it.
Why now?
We truly believe that every child, whatever their background, deserves the chance to thrive.
We also recognise that the past few years have brought significant financial pressures for many families, including the introduction of VAT on fees and the wider cost-of-living challenges. We know that not everyone will be in a position to contribute, and we sincerely value every member of our community regardless.
However, now more than ever, we have a responsibility to ensure that as many children as possible can experience a Gayhurst education - an education that ignites potential and opens doors to incredible opportunities. If you are in a position to help, your support will make a profound difference, enabling more children to join the Gayhurst community and thrive. Together, we can shape futures.
How will my gift make a difference?
Every gift brings us closer to our goal. Whether you are able to give £5, £50 or £500, your gift plays a meaningful role in providing a Gayhurst education to a child who would not otherwise have this opportunity.
What is Gift Aid?
If you are UK taxpayer, Gayhurst School Trust can reclaim 25p for every £1 you give at no extra cost to you. This increases your gift substantially meaning we will reach our goal even quicker. Higher Rate and Top Rate tax payers can also claim back the difference between their donation and the tax rate. For more information please contact Community & Development Manager, Amy Cronin on community@gayhurstschool.co.uk or 01753 882690.
My company offers matched giving, can I add this to the Future Spark Fund?
Yes, please! Gayhurst School Trust is a registered charity and many organisations offer to match any charitable donation you make. Please speak to your HR department or contact Amy Cronin on community@gayhurstschool.co.uk or 01753 882690.
I'd like to play a significant role, what should I do?
We'd love to speak with you.
Please contact Amy Cronin on community@gayhurstschool.co.uk or 01753 882690 to explore how you can become more closely involved.
What if I don't want to donate online?
No problem at all. Please get in touch with Amy Cronin on community@gayhurstschool.co.uk or 01753 882690 and we will be happy to provide our bank details or discuss alternative ways to give.
Can I remain anonymous?
Absolutely. Just tick the anonymous button when completing the gift form.
How do you intend on finding a suitable child?
We will work closely with pre-schools and children's centres to identify families for whom this opportunity would be truly transformative. All children will go through our standard admissions procedures, and families will be means tested and verified by an independent company.
How will the family be integrated?
One of Gayhurst's greatest strengths is our rich and diverse community, made up of staff children, bursary recipients and full fee paying families. This community already exists, and any new family joining through the Future Spark Fund will be welcomed and supported just like every other Gayhurst family.
Why only one child?
This is just the beginning of our Future Spark journey. With the support of our community, we hope that in the years to come we will be able to extend this opportunity to even more children.
What is the timeline for this campaign?
Our aim is for a child to join us in September 2028.
Remarkably if every member of our community contributed just £10 a month for one year, we would reach our goal and a child would be able to join us a year ahead of target in September 2027.
If you have any other questions or would like to learn more about the campaign please contact Amy Cronin, Community & Development Manager on 01753 882690 or community@gayhurstschool.co.uk.
