Please join us for a very special evening with Lisa & Suki Basford. Suki, a former Gayhurst pupil was diagnosed with Autism at the age of 10. Suki has already spoken to our pupils about celebrating differences and now her and her mum are coming back to Gayhurst to talk to our parental community about their personal experiences of navigating life with Autism, ADHD and Dyslexia and how Lisa, Suki's mum advocated and supported Suki and her brother in their journeys to date.

Since leaving Gayhurst, whilst studying at the Royal Masonic School, Suki has written a book - Space Travels with Luna: Exploring the Galaxy of a Different Mind, become a member of The Global Equality Collective and sits on the youth board of the Autistic Girls Network as well as being a passionate neuro-inclusion campaigner. 

Lisa, a parent of two neurodivergent children is an ambassador for Ambitious About Autism and has recently worked on the latest Diana Award Campaign which appeared on ITV This Morning, a free online anti bullying guide - https://www.itv.com/thismorning/articles/1-know-the-signs. 

Doors will open at 6.30pm for refreshments.

There will be an opportunity to ask Suki & Lisa questions and to buy Suki's book at the end of the evening. (via card payment)
